Right, i`m gonna be bottling & kegging up tonight, so i need a little help. I was gonna bottle about 7-8 bottles & keg the rest. How much sugar would i need per bottle ( the bottles are Magners & Newcastle brown ale ). And how much sugar would i need for about 3 gallon of beer in my keg? Also, when it comes to bottling is it best to shake the bottles so that the sugar dissolves?

its easier if you move brew into 2nd vessel then boil some water add sugar stir till dissolved then add that to vessel when cooled down and stir it up that way all of brew gets right amount and if it was me i'd use (unless cider etc) dried malt its much better than sugar for great results use g for g same , it works way better for my brews i won't use sugar again p.s about 90g is about right for 5 gallons (if kegged)

it was suggested to me and i did put all the sugar in the the keg with all the beer then take out the beer into the bottles , they way it will all be consistent . im new to only what a was told :) good luck :)

Yeah the best way is to batch prime into your keg or another fv and then syphon to the bottles from there. That way you wont have to mess about adding it to the bottles and then working out how much you need to add to the rest in the keg
