Hi,

I started some Youngs mango and raspberry on Wednesday evening, i followed the instruction to the letter. I am still seeing no bubbles inside the airlock, although i know things are happening as the lid is expanding and when i press on it bubbles come through the airlock.

Is this normal or have i possible not got an air tight seal on my FV?

Thanks

John

Whats an air lock ;-)

My Coopers kit doesn't have one !!!!

Alternatively throw it away!!
They're just a gimmick. You presume right though. No bubbles no seal. Just use the bulge in your lid as a gauge
you'll find your brew v popular btw 1 BBQ = 1 empty barrel :drink:

I have a Richies FV with an airtight seal (no steriliser leaks out when i turn it upside down) i use the air lock bubbles as i guide to when the wine has finished fermenting, i no longer use a hydrometer as i know when its doner, horses for courses i think.
