Should I let the hops float on the top or do I need to mash them down into the fermenting ale with a spoon or something?
They've sort of sat floating on the top in a clump, I'm not sure if the usual is to just let them soak up ale and eventually sink, or if they'll infuse their flavour just sat there like that.
In any case, it smells lovely when I peel off the lid of the fermenter! :)
