Should i be putting a crushed camden tablet in my water before making a kit? I thouhgt it removed the chlorine taste from the water. Why isn't it stopping the yeast from working? :wha:

i'd use 1/2 a crushed campden to treat your water for a 23L kit, at that ratio it doesn't affect the yeast.

In winemaking you are adding 1 tablet per gallon . . . in beer making it is 1/2 a tablet per 10 UK gallons . The level is very low and it's not really that good against cultured yeast but does knock wild yeast on the head.
