Recently took delivery of nice shiny ss kit from Angel home brew. Kit arrived ok with another parcel containing a separate circular piece of ss mesh. Emailed Angel Home Brew with a photograph of said item to ask what it was because the instructions are a waste of time, they didn't show another circular piece mesh, the reply I got was "it's a filter". I really am at a loss because it doesn't fit in the main body or the malt pipe.
None of the excellent videos online show it either. Thought it might be a false bottom but as it does not seem to fit anywhere not sure what it is?.
Can anybody shed any light on this

There are 2 circular mesh pieces - 1 is the bottom of the malt pipe and the other is a filter that sits on top of the grain bed to both stop bits of grain going down the overflow and to assist with the sparge. If you have a 3rd piece then you’ve somehow acquired a spare.

Is it the false bottom? Mine came in a separate box, but I collected from Paul.

Thanks for the info Rob11TC, followed the link, yes that's the piece of kit that came separately, does it fit in the main body the same way as shown in the picture

I use mine other way round to pic, lugs on bottom. You have to bend slightly to squeeze it in before the malt pipe. If that makes sense!
