Ok, so leaving stuff to soak in cleaning solution without thinking about the effect on metal...... is not a good idea.

The 'clips' on the chiller coil have reacted somewhat:

Is this going to be a problem? I'm thinking that if i coat them in vaseline and they aren't actually in the beer it 'should' be ok? Any thoughts about cleaning them up?

Also I left the solution in the mashtun for a while and while there doesn't seem to be any problem with the valve etc I can't remember if the washer was always this colour?

Am I paranoid or have I screwed it up?

Any advice appreciated !
thanks
John
