I need to find a way to cool down my wort, to make it ready for fermenting, but I'm experiencing a problem with ye old sink... You see, it is no way to connect a hose to it..

That's a problem when I'm trying to find a suitable wort chiller, because its supposed to be connected to the sink, go into a copper coil, and back into the sink again...

So! I'm looking for a nice alternative, and came up with this:
I'm familiar with the concept of {edited by admin to adhere to the forum rules}

Would this work well as a wort chiller? Running all the worth trough a coil, submerged in a ice-filled fermenting vessel, and then leave into "the real vessel" ?

This sounds unrealistic to me, but i would love to get some words from someone that has actually done it, or maybe have another solution..

Thanks!

got an outside tap by your back door?connect to that, if not fit a tee into the copper pipe feeding the tap underneath the sink and fit a flexible hose with a valve on the end so its hidden most of the time.
just a thought!

Get what its called a self cutting tap kit and add a tap below the sink or anywhere else you have access to the cold water pipe. They are easy as anything to use and you can then attach a hose to the new tap.
