This is my first time kegging. I forced carbed last night then set to 10 psi. Today i tried pouring a beer and it was all head. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

has it been chilled or just at room temp?
before pouring did u let off the excess gas through the valve?
what psi did u serve at? if serving at 10 psi that might be the main problem.
cheers

I forced carbed at room temp at 30 psi for about 10 mins. Then I released the pressure and set it to 10 psi. And put it in the fridge overnight. I messed around with the serving pressure after in initial pour and still got all head from 5 psi up. Any suggestions appreciated

seems you need to get a longer length of tubing then, for serving. There was a great post that had the maths of tube length to serving pressure but no idea where.

If i force carb i chill the beer as long as i can then set it to 10 psi, no more. gently shake my keg for around 10 mins then release the pressure. Set the pressure to serving pressure and its usually ok. I have force carbed at 30 psi and all i got was froth. Might be best to leave your pressure relief valve open, But covered with a plastic bag or something, for a day or two, reset serving pressure and then retry. Sounds like too much c02 in to me.
You tube has lots of videos about setting to 30 psi but ill never make that mistake again.

I got the serving pressure at 3-4 psi now and is pouring perfect..only about 3/4 of an inch of head to a full serving...carbonation is perfect too.
Thanks for the tips guys

Cheers!!
