Morning all!

I've done a few searches on the internet and this forum but haven't been able to find an answer. Hopefully someone can help!
I'm wondering if there is a way to determine the alcohol % in my Youngs Black Cherry. I only added the 450g of sugar specified though I dont know what the sugar content of the syrup was. I only used my hydrometer in the last week of it fermenting so I haven't even got the initial reading! I've read that kits generally give a wine that is about 12% - is that right?
I cracked open another bottle last night and although its a lovely drink, it does seem quite potent! Are vinometers worth looking into? :hmm:

Thanks in advance!

I've made that wine, was around 11.4% according to my records, but I did make it two years ago so they may have changed the recipe somewhat.

Should be fairly similar to yours though.

Hope that helps.
