Airlock

Hi, I've just bought the wilko starter kit and I've just topped up the demijohn on day three.
My question is, when fermentation is complete and I add the finings do I still need the put the airlock on during the clearing process? The instructions don't make it very clear! Thanks.

Personally I keep the airlock in up to the stage when it's clear and racked off, either you keep it in a DJ for conditioning, in which case you can top it upto the neck and put a solid bung in the DJ, or bottle it. Hope that helps.
