Todays brew is the above - Courage Directors from Graham Wheelers - British Real Ale, another quality book which I got for under a tenner from a well known online book shop...

A great book with loads of recipes and a very interesting preamble with lots of quality information, well worth a punt :thumb:

Hops:

Recipe says Target 22g however I have none, so decided on Green Bullet instead...@90 mins
Styrian Goldings 4g @ 0mins

Additions:

3g Irish Moss @ 10 mins

90 min mash @ 66c
90 min boil

The mash is on as I type...will post back later :thumb:

Sorry never got round to taking photos, couldn't find my camera then when I did it was out of batteries! Argghhh!!!

I just tested the gravity today and after only 4 days its down to 1008! OG was 1046...That was fast, it tastes really good also...I did have my immersion heater on but it was only sat at around 22c, seems very fast to me, but hey it tastes good...I'm going to leave it at least another week in the FV, then might rack into a secondary for a week more before bottling...
