Today was the first time I did full grain and not BIAB. I was 3 litres short of wort, but my SG was higher, so I top up and everything was spot on :D

AG#32

Name: WoodMoor Bitter

Grain Bill:

4067g Marris Otter 95%
202g 60L Crystal Malt 5%


Hops:
15g Target 12% 60min
15g Northdown 7.47% 15min
15g Challenger 7.47% 15min
Irish Moss 15min

Mash at 65°C for 90 minutes
Boil for 60 min.

Yeast:
Mangrove Jack Workhorse
Ferment at 20°C
Brew to 23 litres
IBU: 33

SG: 1042
FG: 10

Brew Date: 28/02/2014

Looks like you were the boss with 5 staff, must have been an easy brewday !

You must report back on the Mangrove Jack yeast also.

So what advantages do you anticipate from going from BIAB to a more traditional route?

Yeah I was the boss, the labour was cheap.

I was hoping to get better temp control and efficiency out new mash tun.
I got 72% efficiency, which is around the same as I have been getting with BIAB, the temp was slightly better.

Its also nice to change a brew day every now and then
