CNC 2.8 is going to be a Hoppy low ABV, AmeriZealand Pale-ish Hopped with NS and 2 of the C's :)
Hemp Bitter is going to be a Goldings based bitter with 200g of ground hemp seed in the last 15mins of the boil :)
Couple of pictures from today's prep for tomorrows double Brewday and the Recipes, I'm probably not going to do much in the way of water treatment though might add an odd Tsp of Gypsum here and there :)

First real use of the new HLT, worked a treat and didn't hang around at heating the water:

Raw Sewage, Hemp seed Floaters!:

I seemed to boil the crap out of it, and had to liquor back 1.3L:

Hemp seed causes practically NO foaming when running off! Goodbye head retention:

Lots of pictures!! I got tempted by a big bag of Bobek in the freezer so added 1 small handfull every 5 mins in the last 20 mins of the boil (Might do an all Bobek IPA in the 'Dogfish head 60 minute IPA' style doing 2 good handfull every 5 minutes)
I also bottled last weekends Bramling XB around the end of boil/ cooling/running off.

Great looking brews - good luck with it, the hopping schedule on the first brew sounds really tasty
How do you find the notty yeast? I normally use US-O5 and have only used notty with an old peculier clone (which turned out excellent)

:thumb:

I find the Notty yeast in the fridge wrapped up in Clingfilm... ;) Its a half brick of the stuff I was given so I've been using that rather than US-05. I can't really compare the two, though nottingham does drop a bit quicker :)

btw, I've used a mix of Centennial, Cascade and Nelson Sauvin before and it makes a cracking beer :)

Interesting brews, what does hemp bring to the party apart from a lot of natural oils and no head retention as a result.

It would make a good liquid for mixing ground bait for fishing I bet :D

I'm not into Carp fishing...

I'm Just after the flavour of Hemp really, I roasted some Hemp seed a while back and put it in the Mash and Made a stout... it had a different taste to it but nothing like Hemp. :)

Ground baits more suited to match fishing, little roach and bream etc
Carps more Boilies although it would be good for The METHOD

Flavour of hemp  i have tried fresh stewed hemp when i have made it for fishing, & its better thrown in the cut than in a beer IMHO.

If you wanted to get the full flavour of the hemp plant you could always dry hop with some "skunk" (This Comment should be taken tongue in cheek, I am in no way advising Drug Misuse)

Interesting Post hope you get where you want to go with it, I'm all for experimentation.

The hemp is only a half batch so no great amount to drink should it be pants! Hoping the low grav one will be good though.

Just bottled the CNC & the Hemp...

CNC has gained a bit of body and is tasting pretty good for 2.8 ABV :) Turned out a really nice colour too.

Hemp Bitter is also tasting pretty grand, though I think I'd need half the amount of ground Hemp seed if I did it again :) Looks rather murky, hope it clears up in the bottle.
