All done!
Post boil OG 1051. Recipe states it should be 1053.
Volumes spot on this time! (Thanks to beersmith).

Clean up now and I'll pop some pics up later.

Just been into the brew shed and she is bubbling like a steam train!
Anyway a few pics as promised:

Used the underletting method of adding the strike water and the mash was a tad under the 66 C

End of 90 min mash and didn't drop hardly at all this time!

Post boil OG 1051, but very pleased with my volumes this time. Spot on!

Will let you know how it turns out!

:drink:

Kegging this today (and a few bottles) after 2 weeks in a primary. No time for any more messing about with it I'm afraid as I'm moving house on Wednesday!! :electric:

Just had a sneak taste of this from out of the hydrometer tube... OMG, It is spot on! I wasn't expecting that, I have to be honest. Very happy man here...

I cant wait to get stuck into this proper :drunk:

Forgot to say FG 1006! With OG 1051 I think this makes it 6% ABV bang on. Should of been 5.7%?? Does any body know why this is? It happened with AG#1 too but I think that was because I ended up with quite a lot less beer than planned...
:wha:

Handed a few of the bottled ones of this out last weekend to some of the guys at work and the feedback I got really made my day! They know their ale too, most of them are home brewers and all beer festival aficionados.
Well chuffed with that! :D
This one is going to be a regular for sure. Next one all bottled I think....

Its a great feeling when someone enjoys your brews!

Well it's a sad day.. Despite savoring this brew for over four months and limiting myself to drinking one or two now and again as a bit of a treat. It has just ran out!! Bubbles coming out of the cornie instead of sweet ale
On the bright side I should be getting the ingredients tomorrow to brew another one!!   :thumb:

Looks a good recipe, I may use this in the near future once an FV clears up.
