Yesterday was a brew day.
Name: Imperial Goddess

This recipe I created for the after buying some bulk grain, and ive always wanted to brew an Russian Imperial Stout


Grain Bill:

5500g Marris Otter 68%
500g Chocolate Malt 6%
500g Amber Malt , 6%
500g Torrified Wheat 6%
250g Black Malt 3%
130g Roast Baley 1%
700g Dark Sugar 10%

Hops:
38g Challenger 7.62% 60min
36g Goldings 5.85% 60min
20g Goldings 5.85% 5min

Mash at 67°C for 300 minutes
Boil for 60 min. Add a pinch of gypsum at the beginning..

Yeast:
Mangrove Jack M07 British Ale.
Ferment at 20°C
Brew to 15 litres

SG: 1100
 
I remember going to a football match at Ipswich 30 odd years ago with my mate and buying a couple of bottles if Russian Imperial Stout at a shop on the way. We drank it sitting on a park bench like a couple of alky's. Tasted very good, you wouldnt want many though :drink:
(p.s. all dockers carried a bottle/can opener on their keyring in those days!)

Nope,your the only one to pick up on this so far!

I stated the mash off planning a 90min mash, but one thing led to another and I ended up calling to the pub!
