Today i finish a 12hr night shift at 7am, and me and two work mates decided to go into Leeds for a few beers and a burger.

We met up at Hedley Verity for 1pm

My first pint was an Adnams Yuletide, at £1.99 a pint i could not complain.
Adnamds Broadside is one of my faves, so i thought i would give this ago.

for my first pint after having 4 hours sleep, it was a bit heavy and full of flavour.
After this we decided to eat, so for £5.65 i had a brunch burger and a pint of Bah Humbug form Wynchwood.

Bah Humbug on the left!

It was a better pint and my last christmas ale until Decmber 2013.

Following this i had a Dalesman Blonde at 3.9%
and this was reallt refreshing

Shortly afterwards we decided to move to Cuthbert Brodrick

In here i decided to have a lager as the choice of ales was bleak and mainly christmas beers,
It was a Leeds Brewery lager, Leodis at 4.6%

At £3.39 it was one of the most expensive pints in Leeds for us today, but made a nice change

after this we decied to go to a more up market place, and stumbled upon The Brewery Tap

In here i decided to try a Leeds Brewery beer once again, this was a stout in the form of a Gathering Storm at 4.4%, and my friend had a Leffe,

The Gathering Storm was a really nice stout and reminded me of an Oatmeal Stout, but i must admit, i enjoyed the flavours of the Leffe more.

Moving on we decided to end at the Train Station, as we were getting the train as our transport home.

I had a pint of Old Leg Over, and it was nothing compared to the stout and the Leffe in the brewery tap.

When i got home i had a Breferm Tarwebier, which i brewed with 500g of honey and bottled on the 21/05/2012

i sampled this after a month and it tasted watery and a little sour, but tonight it was fantastic! im pleased with my outcome!

Thats me for drinking for one day,

But after been in Leeds, having a burger and 6 pints, i spent a grand total of £14 ish!
But we were in rounds and mainly in weatherspoons! but still a fantastic day out!

Sounds like a good day out!

I used to get the odd pint in down Leeds way. Used to go to this little pub somewhere just off the centre, was down a wee alley with a beer garden in the alley. Used to get a nice pint in there. Can't remember the name of it tho...

Great staying power after 4 hours kip, you'll blend in well at "The Spring Thing 2013" if your going. :drink: :drink: :drink:

It sounds something like White Locks or The Ship just off Briggate!
These are both nice watering holes with some good real ales

Ive not checked my shift pattern for that far in the year, and also dont have anything to enter to the comp

Used to go to a good pub in Leeds called the Duck and Drake which used to sell a few good pints of beer.

Good stuff! I love midnight bell from Leeds brewery! Sunk a few in the brewery tap the other day! Try mr foleys ale house just off the headrow! Always have about 8 guest ales and a massive range of bottled world beers! It's one of the few places that do Anchor steam!
