ours just sort of materialised in our house. you'll be fine with one, they pick up routines pretty quickly. my girlfriend's dad had a mongrel from the same parents as ours, and he gets a quick 10 minute walk at 6am and is home until 4pm on his own, then goes for another walk. by all accounts he's a healthy happy dog :thumb:

and forget about image, staffs make wonderful pets, really loving and friendly, protective and nackered in 20 mins of walking!

(here's ours - i can't resist posting.)

Your dogs cute as feck rob, aye grey hounds are brilliant pets to, they're very very lazy dogs, some people can't imagine that cos they think of them as running dogs so automatically assume they'll be very active and hyper, but grey hounds and Lurchers will lie in the one spot all day without moving a bit, but they're very greedy to and the perfect height for robbing dinner plates up on the bunkers, excellent dog to have if your out the house for long periods of time.

We have two rescue Greyhounds from the retired greyhound trust. It's great to give these dogs a comfortable retirement and they are sooo placid.

we got our dog 6 months ago, fox hound crossed with summat , no one knows what, lol, shes such a great addition to the family, sleeps loads, but when out, she will just keep going... did a ten mile walk on sunday with her, got home and an hour later my daughter took her out again with her friends dog for an hour..... sooooo much energy...lol... its brought us closer as a family too, we go out walking together instead of sitting on our ***** watching tv.....

we got ours from dogs trust, if theres one near you, i would recommend you having a look, they will take down your particulars, do a home check and try to find a dog which would suit your needs....

We have had our Buster for 12 years, a Yorkie, the story goes that THE woman of the house told her hubby to put the dog down cause she couldnt cope with it and the kids, we reckon he was about 1 1/2 years old at the time, my wife calls him her millenium baby and he is really, such a softy and has never shown any aggression towards wild life but if a cat comes into the garden, boom, thats his space. I am on my own most days as my wife works and he is such good company, its a decission we have never regreted, go for it, Dave

hi cwiseman77 ..
did you get a dog in the end bud ...

regards mick... :hat: .

Unfortunately not. Kind of decided I need to wait until we get a bigger place :( Still borrowing my dad's dog lots though, we went for a cycle and then a pint in a beer garden on Friday. Plus he's getting a 2nd cocker, an 8 week old puppy, next month, so will even more dog to look after when the old man's overseas
