After a gap of almost two months, did my 4 th AG brew yesterday evening using BIAB.. repeated 3rd brew but with tweaks.
Maris otter pale 2.5kg(upped from 2.3kg before)
20g fuggles 0 min
10 ek Golding's 30 min
10g challenger 5 min
Almost 10L fermenting.
OG 1051
New stuff:
Used recycled s04 yeast that had been in fridge 1.5 months.
17ml of crs
1.2g gypsum
.5 campden tablet
.3 Irish moss tablet
Biggest issues were forgetting to put stuff in at right time.
E.g put recycled yeast in bucket before racking the wort into the bucket. And rolling boil did not start to 30 mins in as
getting pot up to boiling point took a long time. And my 2nd thermometer would not go below 38c when cooling wort. When I siphoned off the liquid, the thermometer on the side of the bucket read 14 c!!! It's now a nice 20c. What is wrong with the thermometer. When I stick it in ice cream it goes to 0c
Anyway think it will be okay.
If stuck I will add dry yeast
