Adding campden tablet

Hi all :)

I intend to start a Brupaks Birkby Bitter kit today and living in a hard water area i thought i would add 1/2 a campden tablet first.
From reading the guides it seems like i need two fermentation buckets to do this but i only have one, is there a tip for adding the tablet when only having one bucket

Firstly, Campden Tablets will not soften water, only remove Chloromine (Chlorine evaporates on its own in the boil). To soften water you'll need something like AMS/CRS (link.
To add a tablet just crush one tablet between two teaspoons and add it to your measured quantity of water before you start. Simple.
