Hey all,

Just wondering if the seasoned wine / cider makers still look forward and get that bit of excitement before starting another drop of hooch?

On another note I heard my kids talking to my wife before they went to school, looks like I'm getting some cool DJs , and other wine making supplies for fathers day!

haha oh yes mate,

There's nothing more satisfying... I even get a bit 'worried' for the first 24-48 hours until I see them bubbling up !

my missus doesn't share my enthusiasm, although he has to keep it buttoned, as she drinks more than her fair share of the finished product

At least it's your missus, I caught my 16 year old and her friend trying to sneak some of my brew.
I make that for me.

My wife is pregnant so the wine and cider is all mine, luckily she is supportive of my alcoholic-hobby.

Yer I will probably have to come up with some secure storage before too long, my oldest two are 12 and 10 😅

I don't experiment as much as i did when i first started down the supermarket juice wine path but i still enjoy making wine and saving a fortune in the process, i hate bottling with a vengeance.

I get 28 bottles out of the WB Sav Blanc kit and by the end i have had enough, adding the little bottler to my racking cane has made it easier but i still find it a chore.

congrats! Myn also has a bun in the oven which leaves me forty pints of st peters ruby, forty pints of coopers real ale and soon to be thirty odd youngs IPA.

the worrying thing is I still want to put another one on! maybe I should give it a week or two?

I checked the wine rack yesterday and was down to a few bottles of this an that, thought i better get a rose started, an hour later i had 3 gallons of various flavour wow's on the go including one i haven't tried before, 1 litre of WGJ and 1 litre of vitafit tropical (lidl).

i use one for bottling, I was thinking about getting the bigger bottles 750ml but the plastic stem isn't long enough, im assuming this is where a lil DIY tubing is required
