2 Cornies have just gone to the shiny place in the sky :( both 30 years old...too young...far far too young...I'll be raising a glass :drink:

What has happened.

Ah have you sold yours to the guy with beer engine problems

:wha: One sadly had incurable rust, looks like the base had been replaced (badly) and the rust was coming from under the interior  I'd kept it thinking as you do "I'll find another use for it" ....5 years later it's binned
One I was quite sad about, it was a Vaux keg in mint condition but with a pin hole leak near the lid....I kept it as I was going to JB weld it and use it for sanitising purposes...again that was 5 years ago.
Those were just 2 from a bulk buy (sold as seen) so not too bad really. I have a third which may be a goner as It's badly dented and I can't get the out post on. If I can sort that it would be an ugly but perfectly usable keg :hmm:

Very sad indeed

I trust you kept the lids, posts and dip tubes though.

Ah so it was yours I see now. :thumb: :thumb:

No doubt they will be re incarnated as saucepans

Oo Oo Oo I have I have.

Cut them into rings for Stilton molds

Not a bad idea  ...as I also have an allotment I had thought about using them for having a go at champion length carrots but thought they'd probably get nicked for scrap

I made some cheese moulds out of some stainless kitchen utensil pots just cut the bottom off though they need holes drilling in them. Cornies would be idea for 5lb Stilton rings you would probably get 2 per cornie though you would need 10 gallons of milk to fill 2 rings.
