hi all.
ive a coopers brewmaster irish stout thats just about ready to bottle. i was wanting to prime it with black treacle to add a little flavour but im not too sure how much i should use?
could you more experienced chaps give me an idea of how much?
oh its 23 ltr. by the way and i will be batch priming before bottling.

well Ive sampled a couple pints of this stout tonight. was trying to keep it for Christmas but what the hell. i primed it with 2oz of black treacle as advised. its being bottled for 3 month or so now.
beautiful just beautiful. :drink: just the right amount of carbonation and lovely taste. I'm well made up.
definitely one on the "to do again list" :D

Thanks for that bit of follow up!

I've been thinking of doing a stout and that sounds totally awesome...

nice one, ive got this brew fermenting away, cant wait to fire it in the corny. ive made about 21 litres so I'll bottle a few aswell. did u batch prime as i imagine getting the same amount of treacle in each bottle would b hard!
