I have decided to take the step to all grain. Yesterday I ordered a Klarstein 30 litre kettle https://www.klarstein.co.uk/Home-ap...0L-LED-Display-Timer-304-Stainless-Steel.html
it looks like its designed for no sparge although they do sell a nylon insert which would fit, for my first brews I would like to keep it simple learn to walk so to speake (I can be sensible),
So I thought I would start off buying a sack of maris otter and some hops for a pale ale, only a single hop to start with ? will I need wirfloc tabs and Camden tabs and other stuff, all advice welcome good or bad

Not immediately - you can brew beer without these, so don't let them hold you back on giving it a first crack.

Whirlfloc will help your brews to clear much more quickly. You'll be keen to drink your early brews. Personally I'm always keen to taste them after 142 all grains!
I'd advise using whirlfloc or Irish moss about 10-15 minutes from the end of your boil.
Campden is needed if your water supply contains chlorine. Mine doesn't need it.

Hi Duxuk is that the bleachy smell when the cold water is running, just one tablet dropped in, cheers for the advice I cant for it to arrive and get stuck in lol

Yes, the bleachy smell from a running tap is almost certainly chlorine, so I'd use a campden tablet to be sure.

Perhaps to clarify my earlier comment, whilst I say you don't need whirlfloc or campden tablets to brew beer, they are certainly things that will be on your shopping list for the future in order to improve your beer. As a matter of course, I will chuck half a campden tablet into my water the night before brewing and will use protofloc for clearing (except for wheat beers because they're meant to be cloudy). But I think this is all marginal gains so if you don't have them to hand already, don't let it hold you back from getting a brew on.

No need to clarify mate, its all good advice on here, while I wait for my kettle to arrive I am doing a lot of homework lol, mainly water and loss of and getting my head round that so I can calculate how much to start with and how much you get in the fv, I know there are calculators but I want to get a feel for it. happy brewing

Most UU water is very soft run-off from nearby hills and will not usually need Camden tablets to remove chlorine, as the mashing temps will drive off the little that needs to be added, anyway. A whirlfloc does give you better clarity, but somehow it was possible to make decent enough beer for many years (hundreds or thousands) without them.
