As for buying ingredients, for yeast, small scale hops and malt, Crosmyloof are good. They have a website, or this ebay shop and postage is free. Many other suppliers are about, but for most you need to put a large order together to cover the shipping costs.

Nothing wrong with getting an AG kit when you start out, just to work on your technique and work with a known good recipe. Be sure everything is included, some of the Malt Miller kits require you to provide the yeast
