90g Styrian Goldings(3.7%) 90 mins
28g S.G. 15 mins.
29g S.G @80C steeped for 20 mins.
Prot tab 10 mins
Brewlabs Thames Valley 3 Ale Yeast
Water treatment as per GW bitter table+ Cam tab night before.
Est O.G.1040.Est Vol 4%.

Mashed indoors.Water on @ 06.25.Then moved outdoors. :thumb:

Only downside of the day was the camera which refused to co-operate after this.

Everything went well and I especially enjoyed using my new 45L colemans cool box. :party: Did'nt have to worry about top ups/batch sparging as i had plenty of room to spare.

32L @ 1.040, so pleased with that.

Now for a few more beers. :thumb:

28x27 =756 holes.I find it hard to believe myself. :hmm:
Sat down in the sun using a workmate with a bit of ply on top,cordless in one hand,pint in the other.

Worth in the end,sparging was a treat. :thumb:

Bottled this morning.

55 bottles @ 4.0%,which is what I was aiming for.

Transferred to bottling bucket and batch primed with D.M.E.

Mrs ll on the bottling stick and me on the crown capper,easy as !

Tasting good already. :thumb:

I wonder if a sharpened centre punch would have pierced it with a hammer?

The stainless tray I used was quite thick,though a punch might have worked.

I drilled it mainly for a cleaner cut,leaving no rough edges where any s;;t could collect..
