Dashcam footage shows car knock man off bike in Colchester

A driver has admitted knocking a cyclist off his bike after he made a gesture at him.

The victim was not seriously injured in the incident, which happened on North Station Road in Colchester in May 2016 and was filmed on a dashcam.

Ashley Wallace-Merrett, 30, of West Bergholt, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, actual bodily harm and common assault and is due to be sentenced in February.

I don't need pillocks to help me with this , I managed to come off myself recently. it's been 5 weeks since and the 6 inch scrape on my leg still hasn't gone yet. As for that car driver, he clearly has anger management issues or was on his mobile at the time. Ban him from driving forever and only allow him to travel by bus. who knows he could decide to take up cycling....
