Hey people

Just about to do my first AG. Ive to make a mash tun and was wondering if this would be sufficient for starting. Its got a drainage hole already there and holds 5 gallons.
Has anyone used one before?

thanks

colemans 5 gallon cooler with drainage.
Want to either use a braided stainless steel hose method for drainage or construct a plastic pipe frame with slits cut in the frame.

a 5 gallon container size should be sufficient to mash with?? I'll only be making 5 gallon batches.

My Baby tun is 24L, and last week I maxed it out with 6.4Kg of grain producing 25L of wort in the FV at 1.067, so you should (assuming that is 5 UK gallons) have no problems with normal beers

sweet, think i'll maybe just get it and hopefully have it ready for the weekend, if it arrives on time, hoothoothoot.

I have the 10 gal version of this and have replaced the tap. I've had mashes where I've lost only 1C over 90 mins.. it's wonderful. Having said that, I now have one of MDs shiney tuns. I'm planning on eloping with it.

:D
