Hi,
Got my second Coopers kit going today, the Wheat Beer.
All went according to plan with an OG of 1034 at 26C, is this a bit low? The OG not the temperature.

This hobby is sooooo addictive, I researched getting a plastic keg for the next batch, but came to the conclusion that for a little extra money a lot of problems would be eliminated.
Tuesday I should be the proud owner of a cornie coming from Norman. He gave me lots of help which was great for a begginer

Thanks Shandypants,
I'm not too bothered if its strong or not, hopefully it will have a good flavour.

my coopers lager was brewed at 26c and it has a tangy aftertaste, my mexican cerveza was done at 22c and has no tangyness, not sure if its a character of the lager or if it was the hightemp.

Hi John,
The temperature was immediately after mixing the can's contents, water and sugars and has since dropped to room temperature, which is still higher than I would like but is now in the 23c region.
I think my biggest challenge will be keeping my new cornie keg cool when it arrives. I only have a small house and no room for another fridge and I think standing it in buckets of water would attract she who must be obeyed's rath  Perhaps making all my beer in the winter and drinking it in the summer is the best plan, still won't help with keeping it cool once it's made though doh.
