Hi, I bottled my 2nd brew last Sunday (30/08) a Woodfords Wherry.
I batch primed it with 100g of table sugar in a cup of boiling water left to cool the racked the brew into a bottling fv left for about 40 minutes then bottled.
Started a Wilko Sweet Newkie Brown today (06/09) brewed short @ 21 litres with 1kg dextrose & 500g light DME fermenting@ 21 (which is what I did with the Wherry)

Was very tempted to crack open a Wherry's tonight but will wait until next weekend, think I'll pop one in the fridge Thursday and try it Saturday.

I tried a bottle of Wherry's last night, must say I was very happy with it 👍
Tasted quite nice, got high hopes for this as time pass's.
Will try another next weekend. IMG_20200913_210234.jpg

So is that a no no ?
Suspect previous poster prefers to drink bitter between cellar temp(12-14C) and room temperature. That said if still conditioning no harm keeping it cool and taking it out a bit before you sup it

It is a personal taste thing and I do apologise for being cheeky :-)

For me has to be warm. But its your beer and drink it however makes you happy.

That said I used to enjoy whiskey with ice until I was told your are meant to drink that warm too! Revelation for me but a slightly slippery slope as I now enjoy Scotches, Bourbons etc. and Rum...a little too mucho_O

Tried a bottle of the Wilko Newkie Brown tonight. After 6 days in the bottle (day 21) which is what instructions say
& I have to say it was very nice 😊
Quite dark more like a stout NOT a brown ale.
