26/09/09 - Dr Fuggles

Decided to do a brew yesterday using my home grown Fuggles and did this:

28 Litre BL

5000g Marris Otter
200g CaraPils
200g Crystal 50-60L

50g Fuggles (?AA) @ FWH
50g Fuggles (?AA) @ 15
50g Fuggles (?AA) @ 5
50g Fuggles (?AA) @ 0 (Hot soak at 80c for 30 mins).

Yeast : Nottingham

Estimated OG of 1.042
Estimated IBU of god only knows!

Was not feeling too well at all, so no photos (sorry). Did end up getting the right amount @ 1.045. Really had a great hoppy smell going into the FV (even with my clogged up, snotty nose!) and is now getting thoroughly 'Nottied'!

Can't wait to try a brew based on my own efforts in the garden. :party:
