Had a great brew day yesterday and been wanting to try out a different stout recipe.
3.00 kg Pale Malt (2 Row) UK
0.50 kg Barley, Flaked
0.45 kg Chocolate Malt
0.25 kg Roasted Barley
0.07 kg Black (Patent)
0.04 kg Golding Hops (first wort) 43 IBU
Started at 1.040 with 25L and gave batch sparging a try.
90 min boil, and you can see my reflection in the wort, so must be ready
Pitched SO4 yeast at 30 degrees, I think this was too high but this morning its down to 20 degrees, just hope this doesnt wreck the brew.
