So thought i would try brewing 2 batches in one day, the idea was to put the first mash on, then when that batch was boiling, put the next mash on. In theory it means for an extra hour, i had 2 brews done.
First beer was a ghost ship clone:
1000g maris otter
150g munich
150g crystal
100g wheat malt
50g crystal rye
3g northern brewer -60 mins
3g northern brewer 15 mins
3g cascade-0 mins
3g citra- 0 mins
10g citra- dry hop
Og- disappointingly ended at 1.040
The second brew was an experimental christmas bitter...
1000g maris otter
100g crystal
100g chocolate malt
50g wheat
3g northern brewer- 60 mins
50g dried cranberries- 60 mins
Flame out
50g dried cranberries
3 crystalised ginger in syrup
Og ended up as 1.060!
Tasted good when going into fv....
