hi there, i,ve just juiced 12ltrs fresh apple juice and dj it with my yeast and nuturiant not added sugar as the apples were really sweet on their own. they at room temp and air locked them right away, i had lots of bubbles for 2 days mad no throth and now all stopped dead nothing????? is this right please ???

you need to know the gravity have you got a hydrometer? anything under 1000 is done , I would leave it another week though as 2 days is a bit fast.

just checked gravity sitting on 1000 at mo, shall i leave it air locked please.??

my starting was around 1.040. im all new to this and appreciate any help.
thanks

if my sums are correct, and your readings are too, then you should have a 5.4% ABV cider there. Give it a week under air lock to settle and clear and see how it goes from there.

thank you ..... can you help me with the next stage?
I will leave it for another week or so ........... do I then re demi john it (rack it)? and then air lock it again.
do i add sugar? how long should i leave it in the 2nd demi john before bottling?
cheers.

Once it's clear, I'd bottle it and drink! Not sure if this is what others would suggest.

Don't add sugar, except for priming bottles to get it fizzy. In which case, make sure you definitely have pressure bottles otherwise you'll be making ciderbombs, and add about half a teaspoon per bottle, into each bottle, before filling.

hey many thanx for your fast replies very kind of you. sure i will be back with more questions. this is a gr8 hobby we started. enjoy the rewards
