Whurr the ol' M5 crosses the ancient M4...
Right, I'm all kitted out, have my steel pots, my bag, and my ingredients. I've bought an Exmoor Gold recipe kit to start me off, but (as is usual for me) am going to tweak it a bit:

2300g Motter
340g Cheap honey (added on flameout)
100g Torrified wheat
23g Challenger (60mins)
6g Goldings (10mins)
5g Bobek (flameout)
Protofloc tab (15 mins)

I'm aiming for a 12L brewlength on this, which I reckon should come out between 5 and 5.5%. It's going to be mashed in a 14L pot with a bag, batch sparged then boiled in a 19L pot (only reason for this is that the bag won't fit round the 19L...doh!)

Can anyone see anything wrong with this - I've added the honey as I rather like honey, esp in a light coloured beer, and thought that adding the TW would help head retention.

Also, how much of the protofloc tablet should I be using - 1/2...1/4?

Any views/comments will be welcome.

Personally I'd knock the TW down to 70grm as I don't like the cereal taste that TW gives in higher %'s. I had found 3% quite a nice spot for me.

But thats your taste not mine :D Rest looks good :thumb:
