Has anybody done a 1 gal (5l) ag batch or is the hassle of doing it not worth the effort?

I quite fancy trying something different (for me anyway) and don't want to brew 5gals if I don't like it, so was thinking about BITB on the stove stop in my stock pot as I don't think that 1 gal in my MT would show much gain.

must admit to wondering about similar myself recently :?: just as you say, for 'experimental' purposes :!:

i have done a 1 gal extract brew. At the time i wanted to see how much berrer it could be without buying a load of kit.the beer goes really quick!

I am about to build a 12L into the FV. batch system for experimentation/sampling reasons based on 20L stockpots from nordic.

I am thinking about an old ale type so 1 gal would be about right, I don't want to go back to extract brewing, esp. as I have just bought another bag of malt :D

Need to find my grain bag, not used it for many years
