Was planning to bottle my latest brew tonight (Batemans XXXB clone) but it's still slowly bubbling via the airlock after 18 days, which is a new record for me: most of the others have been 8-10 days. Hasn't really stopped either, settled down after the first few days of madness to a nice, constant bubble, plus the room hasn't been particularly cool to force it to slow down :wha: I'm intrigued as to how low the FG might be and am tempted to drop the hydrometer in, but think I'll hold out until the weekend.

Take a reading today, then another tomorrow if its not moved get it bottled, will be ready just about in time for Christmas

Most of my AG lagers go for three weeks and are still showing signs of airlock action(at 12oC), I know yours is a bitter but take a reading as PD says 9 times out of 10 mine are good to bottle.

I never go by airlock activity. Always use your hydrometer to see when fermentation is complete.

I didn't have much time at the end of the week, so had to wait until today to bottle it.

Two new records for me: longest time in the FV (21 days) and the lowest FG a beer has ever gone, black band on the hydrometer completely in the beer so looks like 1008 or 1006 :D Beer was really clear going into the bottles, and the yeast cake has hardened up, making the bucket easier to clean - everyone's a winner :D
