It's sad to think that this equipment must have come from a brewer(y) that's bitten the dust.

Let's hope that someone can put it to good use.

Unfortunately I've only got £40 000 (and that's with raiding the kiddies piggy banks)

I know that Wibblers upgraded their plant in January last year to 18BBL when they won a bankrupt stock auction . . . and they paid significantly less than 55K to do so ;)

Am I missing something, but you can get a new one from Dave Porter for a lot less than that. Not that I am associated with Dave Porter, just as an example.

6 BBL = £16,400 with 2 FV's. :? http://pbcbreweryinstallations.com/breweries.html

It is wooden clad though???

Now if it was about £2K, which is where it should be, then I might be interested.

Did that other brewery sell, Franklins, I think it was? On ebay the other week, been on since around christmas and price reduced. Was around 13K for the lot, but still overpriced in my eyes.

there is of course the cost for premises and casks etc....

Premises were not included - the buyer was expected to remove the equipment. Casks were mostly 18's, with only a few 9's, which wouldn't be great if you were just starting out/ getting pubs to trial your beer. Plastic casks could provide a temperary solution at £40 each - but not included in the price of course.

Do these people think they are selling the running concern of a brewery complete with customer base?

In my eyes it is a pile of stainless that may be useful "if" someone wants to brew with it.

Way to steep a price for that lot.

The seller obviously has no idea of real world prices for second hand stuff, which is probably why they are selling it in the first place, Probably gone Bust due to overvaluing product, & this is a desperate attempt to stop the house going!
