So upon our travels around New Zealand, the wife spots this http://www.hopfederation.co.nz. A small road side shack offering samples and craft beer for sale.
So in I go, only to be faced with twelve sample beer pumps:-o
Only issue was I was only allowed 5 samples, and only if I was buying something. Otherwise they would let you taste two. Which is still pretty cool for someone walking into the brewery from the road.
Anyway I tried some, and amazing NZ pilsner,:thumb: a double IPA, which was pretty good an amber ale, a session IPA and a lager
Ended up with a 2l bottle of the pilsner and a four pack of the session IPA to take to friends for Christmas Day.
For anyone travelling in this neck of the world I would highly recommend these brewers beers.
The brewery is slap bang in the middle of NZ,s hop country, there are endless field of hops growing, was amazing to see.
Have been slurping the generic NZ beers, tui, spieghts, db. But these are like having a brew dog or Williams bros against a carling!
