How would adding extra sugar and water to a kit that says fill to 4.5Ltr to make it up to 5Lt effect the body and strength. I think the extra sugar would hold the strength but am unsure about the body. Because I am new to the hobby any advice will be highly appreciated.

I have got my first gallon of wine ready for bottling but think it needs to be sweeter. Can I just add some wgj and bottle as soon as it is mixed or do I need to do something else. Grateful for any advice.

I am a retired marine engineer and just starting making wine as a hobby. I have got a couple of 5Lr kits clearing and no doubt will be requiring some help when getting more confident and experimental . Won't bore you any longer but am looking forward to being a member of the forum.
