first extract brew: a witbier (with pics)

Looking great, and hopefully ready to drink quickly. BIG up to Pittsy I was ready to give up on homebrew, until he pointed me in the right direction. I'm sat here now with a crisp, refreshing pilsner extract brew from the main man.

    My 1st EVER Extract brew!

well after some dire results from kit brewing, lagers, I was ready to give up on the whole home brew hobby. The only kit that was good and drinkable was the Magnum strawberry cider, which the Missus polished off to herself over Xmas, I don't like Cider. So after long PM exchange with Pittsy, he...

    Success with kits??

Ok guys, so I've now done 4 kits, and to be honest I'm getting abit disheartened! The kits I've are Betterbrew Czech Pilsner, wilko cerveza, brewers spring lager, and magnum strawberry cider. The cider was fairly good the missus enjoyed it. But so far the lagers have proved to be at best just...

    Kit lager question

Why are my lager kits so dark?

So far all 3 kits are dark. The brewers spring lager which is on the go, I used still water from the asda, here in telford the water is really hard, and full of chlorine. So will have to see how that comes out. The wilko cerveza tastes ok but is by no means a lager style drink
