The problem batches have been ones where you add sugar (i again just added regular sugar) but this most recent batch is not. I thought i would try a different one to see if it would be any better. Nearly at bottling stage with this one.

Hi Wez, Have been using kits only so far, serving it from the bottle. I have primed the bottles with .5-1tsp of regular sugar each. Some of the beers ended up with absolutely no head and others just a tiny bit. Thanks, Nik

Hi All, My previous batches of stout have had very poor head, in an attempt to improve this, I bought some heading powder this time. Has anyone got experience of using this powder? I'm a bit reluctant to use it in case it ruins the beer as the other batches tasted fine (albeit headless)...
