    I made pomegranite and white Grape added extra sugar and it tasted like petrol,lesson learned, less is better.

    I was ready to give up on my cherry,red Grape juice and apple wine.I made it in April and tried it in July and it was OK but nothing special, opened it tonight and a lot better.

    Hi guys and girls I have moved house and inherited a large apple tree.I would like to make cider from scratch but I'm not sure if these apples are suitable being I don't know what kind they are I would appreciate if any knows whether they are good for cider or what kind they are ?

    Welcome,like you I have only used kits for beer and wine my latest was a Festival Dubbel . I have been amazed at the amount of information on this forum.I use Beaverdale for my wine and Festival for beer.There is a thread on supermarket juice wines that I have just had a go at so fingers 🤞

    How do you get the labels off ? I soaked mine in warm soapy water but some are murder to remover .

    I have just moved house ,now in to full production.18l Belgian Dubble and 25l of turbo cider. 1476 litres Total.
