    Brewing advice

Well I had couple pints last night. It is very nice. Issue now is there's way too much head, nightmare to pour. Is it a case of relieving some of the stored pressure?

    Brewing advice

its in a fridge, in the shed. Trouble is that I don't have power to the shed! So, no, no means of cooling. I do want an outside electrical socket, but that's low down on the to-do list :(

    Brewing advice

its a Woodland Citra Session IPA beer kit. No idea how much pressure its currently under. Added 90g sugar (if i remember correctly) to the keg, added beer, moved to garden shed. No spunding valve, just the corny PRV. fermentation: about 20-22°. its kept outside, currently 17° - no plan to chill...

    Brewing advice

hi, Currently, I have a brew that's been sitting under pressure for about 4 weeks. I've have brewed quite a few beers over the last couple of years, but never have I waited this long (usually I've only kept it 2 weeks under pressure before enjoying). Most of the time the beers always taste 'a...

Filtering corny keg into another corny

Hi. I have a brewing problem. When fermenting, my hop bag broke. I didn't notice this when I transferred from the fermenter to my corny keg. When I try to pour a pint from the keg, no beer comes out. I took the OUT post off, dismantled, cleaned out the hops from the poppet, reassembled, and...

Brewing my first batch of wine

Hi, Up to now I have been a novice beer brewer. However, I have just ordered a 6 bottle starter wine pack. Now I know nothing about making wine, but I thought I'd give it a go - that's why I'm starting with 6 bottles. I have 2 fermenters, paddle, hydrometer, air lock etc - usually used for beer...

    Keeping CO2 level...

Its pretty cold over the winter, dont know the exact temperature unfortunately. When i charged it up yesterday i could hear a noise coming from the PRV, so i put pressure on it and the noise ceased. So, it looks like i may have had a small leak. Think i'll give the PRV a clean

    Keeping CO2 level...

Hi. I've got full corny keg that's been sitting in my shed for a couple of weeks. Tried some last night and the taste is a bit off IMO. I also thought it was a little flat. I've been going out to the shed every couple days and turned the co2 on, to 1 bar, after a short while I turn the gas off...

    Brewing Kveik IPA

just room temp, i'm still relatively new to this brewing lark ;). think i'll invest a few quid in a turkey baster. Do you think i should wait till krausen disappears?

    Brewing Kveik IPA

thanks for the tip. It has been sat in my fermenter for just shy of 2 weeks - I'm waiting for the krausen to disappear - it has gone down a lot, for 4in to probably 5-8mm. i'm tempted to keg it as fermentation seems to have well and truly stopped. I havent checked gravity yet - was waiting for...

    Brewing Kveik IPA

Hi. I started my latest brew yesterday: Kveik IPA. I was told that the yeast is very lively - a friend of mine brewed this IPA before, and fermentation only took 2 days. I imagine mine will take at least a week When I do transfer to my corny, what pressure should I keep it at? Anyone have any...

    Way too much head

I took your advice, and this is the result. The only downside is it came out a steady trickle at that pressure, if only I could find a way to improve the flow. But I'm chuffed with the result. Thank you and cheers 🍺

    Way too much head

I shall do that tonight, I guess it'll take time for the beer to show signs of improvement

    Way too much head

Looks good! If I've over carved my keg, is there a way to uncarb it, or is it a case of having to finish the keg - which I've got no problem with 🍺

    Way too much head

Good suggestion, might invest in a proper tap, and get a mount 3d printed so I can mount the tap straight on the corny

    Way too much head

I have removed the narrower tube. Now from the out post I have about 10in of 3/8 tube going straight into party tap. This has helped the time required to pour a drink, but still get a ridiculous amount of foam ☹️
