I used the yeast that came with the kit and brewed at a controlled 22c for 10 days and dry hopped the last two, oddly the SG was only 1038, it should have been around 1050 according to the kit instructions. I'll put this down to a failed brew and move on. I have a Get Er Brewed foundation kit next.
Recently brewed the DR Riwaka PA and noticed a slight banana/pear drop tinge to it, if anyone has also done this one did you get the same result? It's still drinkable but not to my taste preference.
The doctor's advice to me was to cut one thing out at a time and keep a record of any changes. I still brew and to be honest drink a little too much especially while it's been hot and I've noticed some discomfort coming back so for me it's time to cut back again, basically it's all about...
Sounds like IBS, I had similar issues and changed my lifestyle and it improved, no real cure just a matter of managing it, hope it's nothing more serious, everything in moderation really seems to help, IBS is mostly caused by stress to my knowledge.
this is my first kit brew using brew enhancer and temperature controlled brew fridge plus strabright finings, a step up from my first attempts which were brewed on the kitchen worktop, it's still a bit young and needs a couple more weeks of maturation, I'm just impatient as my wife keeps...

I'm waiting to post a pic of my homebrew effort but meanwhile I picked these three up from the co -op. Sierra Nevada apparently the original APA, very nice, Thornbridge hazy ipa, very nice, Goose Island IPA, 'WOW' oh and a bag of crisps, cheese and onion.
Two nice beers from LIDL for less than £1.30 each, a nice refreshing change from the heavily hopped beers That I've been drinking recently, for mid week easy drinking in my opinion really good and priced right, I'll get a few in for emergencies, these are bitter hopped and clean refreshing and...
There is a very interesting 6 part podcast on BBC sounds called good ship brewdog which goes in to depth about the company and it's issues, for me it seems they started with good intentions but they are seeling out to the big corps and will eventually float on the stock exchange, not really punk...
That's an interesting article but he states that the liquid never gets hot enough to steam the chicken, he's wrong the one that I did almost boiled away and no burnt skin on the outside either, I think it's down to the set-up really, but worth a read anyway.
