    Hi all Started a batch off last week using a mix of granulated and brewers i added a big dollop of black treacle as id run out of spray malt. Question is..this came out as a very pale colour are these kits like a pale ale??

    I know this is all up to conditions,temps etc But what are your opinions for the ideal time before starting to drink a brew? I imagine that my stout will take longer than my bitter to round of the rough edges(both are youngs harvester kits) Cheers

    Semi-urgent supermarket wine question..

    Avoid juice drinks as these are primarily water based .The white grape and apple IMO is a real winner!! Quaffable in 4 weeks but best left for 4 weeks and 1 day :grin: :grin:

    What are the ideal sg and what sg is the finished sg on average,im used to wine making not too beer.......hope this makes sense?

    Been to my local hbs and got a youngs 40 pint harester bitter and a youngs 30 pint stout and some spray malt. Question is How much sugar is needed for the 40 pinter to reach an initial abv of the 4.8 ish mark Cheers (told you id ask dumd questions) :!: :!:
