    Leaking Angram beer engine,

If it's a small external crack, you might be able to seal it with some LS-X. (I have a tube of this for 'just in case' situations, but I have to admit that I've not had a reason to use it yet, so take this advice with a pinch of salt.)

    Digital Thermometer

Bit more pricey, but for brew day temp measurement it's hard to beat the Thermapen. Fast, accurate, robust, and splashproof.

    Bottles or kegs or barrel

I'm certainly not the first person to say this, but: switching from bottling to corny kegs was the best decision I ever made in home brewing. I will never bottle again*. Bottling doesn't just suck because it's a chore - it also (in my experience) leads to much less good beer. Way more...

pH meters (Hanna HI-981031vs Extech PH110)

I've had this model for a couple of years and have been very happy with it. It's only really designed for temps between 0c and 50c so I have to take a sample from the mash (etc.) and cool it, but that doesn't really bother me as it's generally just a check to reassure me that I've got my water...

    Fridge help

No probs Jon! The opening is 68cm floor to roof, but the roof cavity means that once inside it increases to 70.5cm. However, there is a light/temp probe lump in the middle of the roof and at that point the clearance is 66cm. Many thanks for the sodastream refill info acheers.

    Fridge or freezer

I vacuum seal and store in the freezer. From what I've read (temperature x oxygen) is the basic formula for ruining hops, so the colder and better-sealed the better. I've certainly not seen anything suggesting that freezer temps will hurt hops, so it's probably preferable over the fridge so long...

    Fridge help

Tell me more! Do you have some kind of adapter that enables you to refill sodastream bottles from a larger cylinder? I don't have a garage so everything is in my home office, which is what has put me off a full CO2 rig. But if I could keep a large CO2 bottle in the shed and periodically refill...

Help finding MFL to 1/2" hose barb fitting

Many thanks Buffers, there are some good cheap and less cheap options here.

    Fridge help

No probs! Here are some images. Went for the simplest/safest option, which is straight through the door. As a DIY idiot, I closely followed the instructions here. They also made a very helpful video. But as you can see, I so far have kept things extra basic by using sodastream bottles for...

    Fridge help

Everything lifts out to leave a very clean and spacious interior. I can post pics if anyone's interested.

    fermentation bucket heater

I use a 60W anti-frost tubular heater and it's worked well for me on standard 21L batches.

    Fridge help

If you're willing to spend £50 more and can fit a 60cm wide fridge, I've been very happy with this model. Fits two Corneys with ample room to spare. It can even fit an SS Brew Bucket (so I have two!) And its footprint isn't excessive (dimensions are 59.5cm wide x 62cm deep x 84cm tall). Not...

Help finding MFL to 1/2" hose barb fitting

Hello: long-time lurker, first-time poster. I'm hunting for an obscure part and was wondering whether anyone can help. I've just installed a 1.5" TC clamp into the lid of my SS Bew Bucket so I can do pressure transfers to kegs. It also occurs to me that I can purge a keg with natural CO2 from...
