    Bottled my second Coopers Lager yesterday, enjoyed the last one this time took a little of the sugar out and used a jar of honey in its place, alcohol reading was 5.8% :cheers:

    Beaverdale Rioja possible improvments

    I have some Vintners Harvest Yeast - SN9 ( Saccharomyces Bayanus) yeast would using this instead of the Beaverdale supplied yeast be worth doing?

    Ok so i have a demijohn from Wilko's which states it can hold 1 gallon / 4.5 litres yet the wine kit is a 1 gallon kit that says you need a 1 gallon / 5 litre demijohn and top up to the 4.5 litre mark. I am slightly confused as 1 gallon is 4.5litres yet when you look at the shops for a 5 litre...

    Coopers Kit - First Brew

    The bottles have deffo become hard over the last couple of days and if you turn the bottle there are lots of little bubbles so i assume its doing something.

    Just bottled my first kit, used the carb drops that came with the kit. I was just wondering how important the temps are from now on, the bottles are placed in the same place as i fermented them so around 22 degrees, i was planning to leave here for around 1 week for the secondary fermentation...
