    'Fast' larger method

Lager. It's not necessarily larger than anything else.

Higher stout consumption driven by female drinkers

"I'm almost 100% sure that my dad was given a small bottle of Guinness after giving blood in the mid-80s. Might have dreamt it but I'm pretty sure it happened." Probably correct. The first few times I gave blood (late 1970s) I was offered a can of Mackeson.

Exactly my experience of this kit. I like it though. I get a hint of treacle from mine.

    Youngs Red India Ale

Old thread but someone may get reassurance from my experience. I've done this kit twice, first time I got 4.7% ABV, second time 4.6% ABV. That's further off Young's claim than brewing variables would account for so I think their 6.3% claim is misleading. It's a good kit though, although only...

What kit beer are you drinking tonight?

Evil Dog Double IPA. Bit underwhelmed. Can taste that it's strong, but the taste isn't as good as many other IPA kits I've done.

    Make mine a Mockeson

When I started giving blood, back in 1977, you could choose a can of Mackeson as your recovery drink afterwards. Nowadays, you get lectures about alcohol.

    Guinness

Guinness isn't even my favourite Irish stout. I've drunk it all the way down the west coast of Ireland and it tasted the same to me. (This was thirty years ago though). The West Indies Porter is far better.

Anyone done a Dark Rock Kit ?

I've done four of their beer kits. They recommend using Starbrite, twice I have, twice I haven't and wished I had. Very slow to clear. Months.

What kit beer are you drinking tonight?

On the other hand, I will be doing this one again. It's all a matter of tastes. I've done forty-one kits now and only fifteen are on my repeat list. I always brew to the instructions.

Picture or Video of the day.

Well, it's not an Alfa Sud because that wreck is rear wheel drive. Alfa, 'Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili', not the Greek 'alpha'.
