    Favourite album covers.

One of the first albums I ever bought, and one that I still play almost 50 year's later - and that cover.....

    That makes two of us!

    Dripping Tap

Thanks for that, I'd prefer to live with it than start messing with trying to change the tap at this stage. It took some doing to get the float sitting and working properly. I just wasn't sure if it might affect the beer quality, but feel better now! Already got a Youngs IPA and a new (King) keg...

    Dripping Tap

It''s dripping very slowly, about 2mm in the bottom of a standard jam jar in three days. Will it affect the life of the brew if I leave it?

    Dripping Tap

No, it's a bar No, it's the drum type with a twist knob, similar to the original one that came with the rotokeg.

    Dripping Tap

I've just returned to home brewing after a 20 year break, and started off with a Wherry in my original rotokeg. It's been a bit problematic to say the least! I tested the keg for leaks and replaced the cap seal and tap before I racked and all seemed fine for a week in secondary fermentation and...

BTW Jon, did you note Terry's comments about pressure testing my rotokeg after a long time not using it!?

Lovely town, I've spent quite a lot of time in and around Newark over the years. Not too much this year unfortunately - apart from one trip to Waitrose to spend my 20% discount vouchers on beer and wine!

    Woodforde's Wherry Fermentation Query?

Well it's been a good first day, warm welcomes, detailed responses to my requests for help, and now we've even managed to tease out some inane banter!

    Woodforde's Wherry Fermentation Query?

Thank you for your prompt and detailed feedback and advice Terry, much appreciated. What is the best way to pressure test the PB? I'll update my progress on this message thread.

    Woodforde's Wherry Fermentation Query?

I'm a new member today, so hello fellow brewers! I brewed mainly from Tom Caxton type kits over 25 years ago, and after a long absence I've just cleaned and sterilised my Boots FB (don't think they've sold home brew kit for a while) and my Rotokeg. After sterilising and rinsing the PB, I...

Thank you Terry, I filled the PB with hot water and turned it upside down, the lid was fine but I bought a new sealing ring anyway, but the tap had become stiff and did leak a little so I've replaced that. I've swapped my old CO2 cylinder for a new one and tested it on the PB via the lid valve...
