What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Just when you mention that, it might have been the one you shared. It's close but there is something missing from it and I can't put my finger on what it is. In saying that it's a nice drink and have another on the fermzilla at the minute

What are you drinking tonight 2024.

Sorry can't work out how to download from brewfather so hope you can see the screenshot. I can't take any credit for the recipe as I think I got it on the forum somewhere. Used hoppy profile in brewfather and should note that it wasn't a 60 minute hopstand but a 15 minute 😄

Recommendations for the next step up from a BrewZilla v3.1.1

I think its specifically for the gen 4 as the drain hole is dead center compared to the gen 3 that was at the side ? The theory is that the wort has more contact with the heating element before going down the central drain hole.

Recommendations for the next step up from a BrewZilla v3.1.1

Had a look at the graph from yesterday. It took 40 minutes from 5C to 70C for 22 litres. I cant compare this to previous as this is the first time I have used the profiles functionality as previously I have just manually set temps and heating power etc. From mash 66C to mashout 76C took 2...

Recommendations for the next step up from a BrewZilla v3.1.1

Just seen this post now. @dave_77 with regards to the control issues you are having with the brewzilla have just got the heat exchanger dish and rapt Bluetooth thermometer for my brewzilla and the difference in control is brilliant so far. I was mashing at 66° C and it never went below and the...

What do you stand your Kettle /Brewzilla / Grainfather /Brewtools etc on?

This is mine. Not quite finished as I want a cupboard under the hlt for cleaning materials etc. Used some left over pvc panels for tops so spills can be cleaned up and it's all on lockable castors so that it can be moved about the garage.

Brewzilla V4 - Centre drain = ALL the Trub..

I have done 5 brews with the gen4 and really like it. The one issue though was that even with the bottom screen in, I got a blocked pump on the first brew. I have used a biab inside the malt pipe ever since. I think the issue is that when it arrives, the bottom screen is very hard to get out...

    Kegging set up equipment

If you intend to have yours indoors you may not need the heater. The heater is only plugged into the inkbird for winter months and then the rest is the freezer plugged into the inkbird.

    Kegging set up equipment

The rubber seal on the freezer door rests on the top of my collar. I glued and sealed it to the top of the freezer lip backed it with flashing aluminium tape and then insulated with the silver foil bubble wrap. Its in my unheated garage and I put a little tube heater to maintain the temperature...
